PVC flooring for the children's room
Whether it's puzzle pieces, play streets, building blocks or emojis - children have vivid imaginations and an all-over decor for the kids' room can't be colourful enough! With us, you can get the corresponding PVC floor cheaply by the metre.
Floor coverings made of polyvinyl chloride in special designs.
You want an extravagant design floor with a retro look? Do you love oriental ornaments or are you looking for a cosy cork look for your living area? You can get all of this and much more as easy-care PVC flooring at low prices from us.
Unicoloured PVC flooring
Single-coloured doesn't have to be boring - on the contrary: on a PVC floor covering in muted white, warm orange or matt sea green, the decor of the rest of the furnishings really comes into its own. If you want your floors to be monochrome yet discreetly patterned, our PVC flooring with white or black dots is a good choice.
A question of style: Which cheap PVC floor suits me?
Whoever wants to buy cheap PVC flooring is spoilt for choice. Whether wood, stone or tile look, whether classic or completely in line with the trend of the time - at first glance, the huge range of different patterns and styles hardly seems manageable. So you should first be clear about which floor suits you at all. This is primarily a question of taste, but also depends on the furnishings you already have.
The basic rule is: PVC flooring should express your living style and show off your furniture to its best advantage. The size of the room also plays a role. Light colours, for example, tend to make a room look a little larger. Floors in dark, warm colours, on the other hand, give a feeling of cosy security.
You have opted for the timelessly elegant style of Scandinavian furniture? You love it light, bright and natural? What you need is PVC flooring in a light wood design. Beech look is just as suitable here as light oak, grey oak, light wood planks or our PVC in the style of white grained wood.
For the large, somewhat more heavily furnished living and dining area with carpet and table linen in warm tones, a darker PVC covering is also suitable. How about, for example, a rustic oak or country house look, shiny pear wood, an attractive herringbone pattern or black planks? You can get all of these from us as PVC flooring at low prices in 2m, 3m, 4m or 5m roll widths.
You want to furnish yourself trendily and love fluffy cushions, lush textiles, colourful vases and all kinds of decorative elements? A cool stone or concrete look forms a charming counterpoint to this and makes the whole look very modern. Whether Mediterranean stone, grey sand or expressively speckled concrete - take a look around our online shop, because of course you can buy the matching PVC floor from us at low prices.
Buy cheap PVC flooring: What should you look out for?
Maybe you have already dealt with the topic of polyvinyl chloride. You may also know that PVC flooring was once criticised for potentially harmful ingredients. Fortunately, however, that was a long time ago. Improved technologies have made it possible to optimise the composition, so that today the material is completely harmless. Vinyl floors are currently experiencing a powerful comeback and are also more popular than ever with our customers.
If you want to buy a PVC floor cheaply, you should nevertheless pay attention to a few things so as not to end up with inferior cheap goods. But don't worry - we'll tell you which properties you can use to safely recognise the quality of a PVC floor! Please also note that floors of different use classes are available depending on the intended use and stress.
A hot potato: Plasticiser
One of the typical properties of a PVC floor is its elasticity. To achieve this, harmful plasticisers are sometimes still used today. The so-called phthalates are particularly problematic, as they are not firmly bound to the material. They evaporate, accumulate in the air and can cause allergies, among other things.
Even if you buy your PVC floor cheaply, you should avoid these substances at all costs. Today there are enough harmless, partly even biological alternatives. It is best to opt for PVC flooring and PVC remnants from our online shop, as these are guaranteed to be free of plasticisers.
Annoying: inferior decors
Even if a PVC floor is cheap - it should look high-quality and authentic. The structure of the decors plays a decisive role in this, because it reveals the quality of a floor covering, especially on larger surfaces. Whether wood, stone or tile look: the design must appear so natural that it is considered real, at least at first glance.
It is difficult to judge the structure of materials from catalogue pictures or on a computer screen. Before you buy a vinyl floor at a low price, you should therefore have a sample sent to you or examine the original in the shop. Accordingly, we also offer a sample service.
Important: Intended use and use class
If you buy PVC flooring at a low price, you should definitely make sure that it meets your individual requirements. Not all PVC floorings are equally hard-wearing, and it would be a shame if the first signs of use appeared after just a few weeks.
The wear layer, i.e. the top layer of a vinyl floor, is exposed to various stresses. These include rolling office chairs, the weight of furniture, foot traffic or secondary stresses such as UV light or chemicals. Accordingly, PVC floor coverings are assigned to different use classes by numbers. These are downwardly compatible (i.e. a floor in class 31 also covers all the properties of use class 23, for example).
PVC flooring cheap with use class 21-23 (living area)
PVC floorings with use class 21-23 are suitable for normal wear and tear in everyday living areas. For less frequented rooms such as bedrooms, guest rooms or storage rooms, class 21 is sufficient. For more heavily used areas such as hallways, kitchens or bathrooms, you should choose a floor in use class 23. It is more robust and still looks like new even after a long time.
PVC floor cheap with use class 31-33 (commercial)
Commercial properties such as practices, law firms, offices or sales rooms are usually more heavily frequented. Accordingly, the wear layer of the PVC flooring must be able to withstand a higher load. Floors in use class 31-33 are suitable (the higher the number, the more robust the material). Of course, vinyl floors of this thickness are also compatible for living areas.
PVC flooring cheap with use class 41-43 (industry).
You can also get PVC flooring cheaply from us in 5m roll widths for industrial operations and warehouses. The usage class 41-43 easily withstands the greatest loads and shows hardly any signs of wear even after years. In contrast to bare concrete, PVC flooring gives your industrial hall a certain atmosphere and contributes to insulation.
Buy PVC flooring cheap: How many square metres do I need?
Before you buy PVC flooring cheap, you should calculate the floor area you want to cover with it. To do this, simply measure the length and width of the room with a folding rule and then multiply the two values (example: 3 x 4 metres gives 12 square metres).
The whole thing gets a bit more complicated with rooms that have many corners. Mentally divide such rooms into rectangular sections, calculate their respective areas and add them together. Of course, you can also use a laser measuring device to do this for you.
Important: Your actual PVC requirement will be slightly larger than the calculated floor area, as you need to allow for the offcut. For rooms with a simple floor plan, you should calculate five percent for this, and up to ten percent for rooms with many angles. If you buy PVC flooring cheap from Alpha-Tex, you can also simply add 50 cm to the respective room dimensions to prevent measuring errors.
Installing PVC flooring cheaply: From amateur to professional in just a few steps
With a high-quality PVC floor, you save twice, because you can not only buy it cheaply, but also install it yourself. All you need is a cutter knife, a folding rule, a rubber mallet, an angle and a spirit level.
The first step is to prepare the subfloor. Level out any unevenness and, if necessary, apply insulation that will later reduce impact sound. (Attention with underfloor heating: Here, the thermal resistance of the insulation should not exceed a value of 0.15 m²K/W!) Many PVC floorings are already equipped with integrated insulation.
Now you can start with the actual installation of the PVC flooring. Always start in one corner of the room and roll out the PVC exactly parallel to the wall. It is best to use a spirit level. Make sure that the decor (wood or tile look) is flush with the walls and creates a harmonious picture. The rolled-out covering should initially protrude by about 10 cm on all sides.
Now fold back half of the PVC floor and - if you want to glue the vinyl floor - apply the adhesive or a double-sided adhesive tape. Then fold the floor back in and gently press it down. Repeat with the other half and finally cut off the excess ends with the cutter knife.
If you buy PVC flooring cheaply, you can also lay out large areas in a very short time this way.
Laminate or vinyl: What is the difference?
Laminate and vinyl have a few things in common. Both floor coverings are inexpensive, easy to clean and extremely resilient. Both are available as design flooring in many different colours and decors.
An essential difference lies in the composition of the materials. While vinyl is mainly made of plastic, laminate flooring is composed of a wooden carrier board, a decorative layer and a top layer impregnated with synthetic resin. Because of the wood content, laminate is not suitable for damp rooms. Vinyl floors, on the other hand, are completely water-repellent and can also be laid in the bathroom.
While laminate is usually installed using a click system, vinyl flooring is also available in rolls by the metre (for example, PVC flooring cheap in 5m roll width). When it comes to laying floors under room doors, the vinyl variant scores with its low installation height. Vinyl also has a noise-insulating effect per se, whereas laminate floors require impact sound insulation.
There are also differences in terms of the health aspect: vinyl floor coverings are elastic and therefore easier on the joints than laminate. They are also easier to clean and more hygienic because hair, dust or microbes do not stick to them. Allergy sufferers in particular benefit from this property.
Advantages of PVC flooring at a glance:

✓ more design options available than just wood
✓ suitable also for damp rooms
✓ easy to install by the metre
✓ low installation height
✓ naturally has a noise-absorbing effect
✓ elastic and easy on the joints
✓ most hygienic floor covering, allergy-friendly
